Vinitaly 2007

06 December. AWARDS

In the south-east of Sicily, where the climate is particularly dry and hot, you can cultivate the vineyards in the canopy system of the "alberello" ("small tree", for the characteristic shape of vine rows which does not allow for lines), to create highly structured wines of great concentration, among which are our Nero d'Avola and Moscato di Noto.
Moscato di Noto, known locally as Moscato Giallo or Moscatelli, is a dessert wine. Its sweet yet balanced flavor is the result of meticulous research and a daily commitment on the ground.

A "drunk" Pizza, enriched by local ingredients such as Piccantino del Belice cheese, a special ham seasoned in Nero D'Avola marc and stone-ground flour of ancient Sicilian grains. The perfect match for our Passivento Rosso Terre Siciliane IGT, also used for the final touch of the dish, the wine reduction. Thank you Forneria Messina for this delicious recipe that starts our #ExperienceSicily journey.
