Convenience, quality wines and a special attention for the environment: this is Barone Montalto.
But not only, we want also to have an innovative approach to wine from the packaging point of view.
For this reason at the winery, in addition to the glass bottles, we use PET bottles as well (polyethylene terephthalate), for the following products:
- Pinot Grigio Terre Siciliane igt
- Nero d'Avola Merlot Terre Siciliane igt
- Syrah Terre Siciliane igt.
This material, a thermoplastic polymer resin for food usage, is good for the consumer who can count on a lighter, easier to use, more practical to carry and ecofriendly product.
Moreover, the PET is safe: more resistant to breakage compared to the glass and impermeable to oxygen in order to guarantee the quality of the wine. A lighter-weight bottle (empty: 50 grams weight on average compared to 500/600 grams of glass) means easier to carry while travelling, but also for any other outdoor event when usually glass is not allowed.
Not only bottles but also PET 3 litres Bag in Box, for our Cataratto Chardonnay Linea Acquerello – the advantages? Light, recyclable and…waterproof! You can easily chill the wine plunging it into the ice-bucket, without being worried of damaging the package.
And wine is ready to make a toast!
