Summer Wine Events 2014: toasting with Ammasso!

Ammasso has been the protagonist of the main summer cultural events for the Italian winelovers.


We started with “Collisioni” 2014, literature and music festival that, from 18th to 21st July, gathered in Barolo (CN) not only the important names of national and international music world but also wine&food leading figures. Sicily came to Piedmont then, showing Ammasso Rosso Terre Siciliane IGT during the workshop “Un incontro inaspettato. Metti una sera a cena… pizza e vino”, on 19th July at Enoteca Regionale del Barolo. Talking about pizza and wine matching, among the participants there were Fabio Turchetti (Il Messaggero), Alessandro Bocchetti (Gambero Rosso), Bernard Burtschy (Le Figaro, France), Brian St.Pierre (Decanter, England), Massimo Giovannini from Pizzeria Apogeo.

Sunday 20th July, from Langhe we went to the Tuscan hills, in the evocative background of the Teatro del Silenzio of Lajatico, close to Pisa. The occasion has been the concert of Master Andrea Boccelli, with Placido Domingo, one of the most prestigious Italian musical event that has gathered together more than ten thousand people, among them important names of the show biz, politics and media. Among the wine&food celebrities, Luca Martini, Best World Sommelier 2013, and chef Deborah Corsi, La Perla del Mare restaurant in San Vincenzo di Livorno. For the gala dinner, among the official wines served for the event, has been selected our Ammasso Rosso Terre Siciliane IGT, best expression of Sicilian land. All the guests really appreciated this special blend of Nero d'Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Merlot e Cabernet Sauvignon, toasting in the fascinating natural environment, set up with hay balls. Elegance, fun and good taste!
